I went to Al Forno Pizzeria for lunch on a holiday weekend. I was able to get a table for one immediately, but they were quite busy (not surprising because the food is very good), so you might want to reserve a table ahead of time, particularly with a larger group. I had arancini as my appetizer, and they were SO delicious. The cheese and the sauce were very tasty. I ordered the seafood pizza as my main (in the photo, please note that I specifically asked for extra sauce, which is my preference; they'll make your pizza however you like it). The layout and decor are very quaint. The staff is friendly and attentive. My food came out promptly. I had an excellent lunch at Al Forno Pizzeria, and I highly recommend enjoying a meal there.

Been past this place many times when in Brighton and never gone in until now. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to pay my first visit! It has a very traditional feeling about it. We didn’t book but they managed to get us a table. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, the calamari starter was spot on with a generous portion. The pizzas tasted as good as they looked. A great base with generous amount of toppings, full of flavour. Tucked away on the corner of the top of the street, this authentic Italian restaurant has a great varied menu, all the food coming out looked wonderful. A place I will be definitely returning too.

It was a warm and cozy place. The staff were friendly and relaxed. The food was served very quick. It tasted very nice. You don’t feel rushed. I had a good range of vegetarian dishes to choose from unlike a lot of other places. Already planning to go back soon.

Usually have a brilliant takeaway but decided to eat in & so happy we did. You are greeted with a smile & seated wth the menu then Kate takes yr order with a lovely friendly helpful attitude & brings you a large bottle of water & glasses. The food is amazing & perfectly timed after the drinks have arrived. The toilets are spotless with an amusing picture on the wall which I found hilarious! This is a must visit. The food is consistent & 5star & the overall atmosphere is great. Will be returning to eat in again.

The B&B that I’m staying at, Brightonwave, recommended this Italian restaurant and I’m so glad I took their advice. Very welcoming staff for a solo traveller and they fitted me into a very busy restaurant. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the food arrives quickly. Everything was just perfect and it’s a lovely little restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Absolutely over the moon with finding this on a trip we had over the weekend! We actually had reservations at a different pizza restaurant in the lanes however decided to cancel as Al Forno was closer to our guest house and we’re so glad we did! Lovely little pretty, clean, tasty and the most surprising part fast and efficient. No sooner did we order our starters were with us, then as soon as we finished those our mains were too and they were beautifully cooked. In and out within 40 minutes and beaming with delight. Thank you for making our night team Al Forno

Brilliant Italian food! A lovely restaurant, friendly staff and a great choice on the menu! Went here for my birthday and it was the best lunch. The lasagne was delicious and the fudge cake. I’d definitely recommend! It’s in a lovely part of Brighton.
